I’m Rachel Claflin

I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #126446) who is warm, curious and direct. I strive for my clients to feel a palpable sense of care and regard. With time, strong mutual respect and trust is developed, which allows for honesty and depth. Most of all, my clients feel seen and are given the space they need to explore their experience.

I offer therapy via telehealth to clients in California.

My fee for a couples therapy session is $250. There is a sliding scale available for those who need it. I’m not an in-network provider as couples therapy is not usually covered by insurance but if your plan is an exception, please let me know.

Masters of Counseling Psychology

California Institute of Integral Studies. This experiential program blends psychological theory with holistic practices to foster deep, transformative healing. The depth of knowledge gained at CIIS allows me to foster meaningful connections and create tailored therapeutic strategies for each client’s growth.

Trained in Brainspotting

Brainspotting helps clients access deeply held traumas by using specific eye positions to unlock the brain’s natural healing abilities. It’s a gentle, focused method that support emotional release.

Trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

This training is foundational to my approach with couples. Through a compassionate, evidence-based approach, EFT guides clients in healing emotional wounds and fostering lasting, loving relationships.

Former Career in Tech

I spent 15 years at Google, developing strong problem solving skills and systems-thinking approaches – equipping me with the ability to understand complex patterns in human behavior.
